The Bamboo room is the home of the Pandas. The Pandas are children ages 3-24 months. The Panda classes offer a nurturing, safe, and supportive community for parents or caregivers as they embark on their caregiving journey. Participants share experiences related to caregiving and receive invaluable tools to put into practice for effective and respectful caregiving.

Our Little Pandas are children 12-24 months old who come to school with a parent or caregiver. Depending on the age of the children the classes meet once or twice per week for 60 or 90 minute sessions. From September to May (Rolling enrollment until the class fills up).

This class offers an educational component based on Green Beginning’s non- judgmental approach and *RIE ideas. Weekly topics related to early childhood are covered as well as tips for parents and caregivers to handle the challenges that naturally arise from raising a family/working with little ones. Some of the topics include self-care, developmental milestones, children’s phases, parent-child or caregiver-child relationships, non-judgmental discipline, and more.

Transitioning to Preschool Programming

Our Big Pandas are children 12 months or up who can separate from their caregiver for a once per week 2-hour program. This class serves as a transition to preschool. This class meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 11: a.m. Classes consist of outdoor and indoor exploration, snack, and music and follow the same Green Beginning non-judgmental educational approach applied in the preschool.

About Enrollment

Please note that the Toddler & Me program is open to the community, and it does not follow the same admission process as the preschool. This program is first- come-first-served. Classes are intimate and small with a maximum of 6 children per class. Once classes fill up, another class will open on a different day. All Pandas (Toddler-and-Me) classes run from September through May.  All parents pursuing preschool enrollment must attend a preschool tour even if they are currently enrolled in this program.  Families who participate in the (Pandas) Toddler and Me program get priority enrollment should families decide to apply to the preschool.
